About the Author:
Starting off with a gold medal in English from the University of Madras, and two Masters degrees – Usha Narayanan took off like a magpie, collecting more bling. She was creative director in advertising agencies like RK Swamy/BBDO, one of India’s top ten, and in Radio City 91.1 FM. She managed corporate communications and CSR activities in Scope International, Standard Chartered Bank. Usha has lived for the most part in Chennai (Madras), and in Honolulu, Hawaii where she did a writing course. She loves reading, travel and animals and has two opinionated cats.
The Madras Mangler, a suspense thriller, received excellent reviews. It is available online at Flipkart, Amazon and Infibeam.
Her second novel, Pradyumna: Son of Krishna, a bestselling fantasy thriller from Penguin, is available in leading bookstores and online at Amazon, Infibeam and Flipkart (also as eBook).
Her third novel is Love, Lies and Layoffs, a romcom published by Harlequin–HarperCollins in October 2015.

From Madras Mangler to Pradyumna - Son of Krishna to Love, Lies & Layoffs, the author has explored different genres - suspense thriller, mythology and romcom and has successfully left a lasting impression in each genre. You will have to read the books to believe.
From the first page itself I knew this was going to be the kind of book I won't be able to keep down easily at the end of the day. Almost all the readers of Straight from the Heart know that I read (and write) mostly during the nights hence it was a challenge to decide where to place the bookmark.
I finished the book in two days despite the frame of mind I am currently in. In fact, reading this book was a welcoming change since it is a light-hearted read. The one-liner on the publisher site is apt
"!!Love in the middle of office power play and politics!!
It's the kind of book I like to read - easier to visualize. The cover is perfect and gives a peek into what the book is about. The blurb is capable of arousing interest in the reader. The narration is good and the characters are well-portrayed.
I would definitely recommend this book for those who like reading a romcom.
In fact - Straight from the Heart is hosting a giveaway of this book for its readers. Ten copies of the Paperback would be given away to the winners. The winners would be chosen by me (as owner of SFTH) and a few friends of mine so that the decision is not biased in any way.
